On Tuesday June 3, 2008, the CARTES team was pleased to welcome around 100 people at its launch conference focussed on the topic:

Consumers' changing behaviour
Traditional means of payment are evolving towards easier and diversified and more practical solutions.
E-commerce, e-banking, m-payment and pre-payment are riding high. Different players are involved in implementing these services: banks, service companies, telecom operators ...
This means the worlds of e-banking, transport and mobile telephony have to work together to offer consumers services which tend to significantly change daily life. To what extent will this convergence be possible? Who will be the guarantor of the payment? Who will be the trusted third party? How will the financial manna be shared? What is the necessary level of security for which applications? After the successful pilots trials, when will the system be implemented on a large scale? Will the consumers accept this new system?

The world's leading event on digital security and smart technologies will have its own trade show from November 4-6, 2008, at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center, France.
After last year's success, CARTES & IDentification is preparing for its 2008 edition, which is likely to welcome more than 20,000 visitors once again...
November 2007
For its twenty-second edition CARTES & IDentification 2007 set a new record and confirmed its position as the top trade show worldwide for the smart card and identification industry.
To mark its 22 years of existence, CARTES set itself a goal of doing even better than in the previous years. Mission accomplished despite the transport strike: with the Congress and the Sesames Awards as well as the area dedicated to identification, CARTES & IDentification 2007 set a new records.
