CARTES & IDentification 2009 launch conference
On Thursday 11 June 2009 at the Pavillon Dauphine, the CARTES team was pleased to welcome around around 90 people at its launch conference focussed on the topic:
Bank authentication and payment security
In a context in which everything is increasingly going faster, being able to instantaneously send and receive information anywhere and at any time is a precious asset. Passing an order online, managing one's bank accounts using the Internet... all these are some of the many possibilities which make our daily life easier.
As a matter of fact, security of exchanges is the core issue at the present time. Cases of identity usurpation or data piracy are multiplying. The loss of confidence in these technologies could weaken this booming sector.
How can we fight back? How do the banks and retailers react to this? Should or must different levels of security be implemented based on the different uses? Should the consumers be better educated in the use of these technologies? How can we manage the balance Security - Development of e-commerce and online banking?
We will attempt to find the answers to some of these questions together.
